  Sandy's Story

I have been an organizer for as long as I can remember. It is something that comes very naturally to me and I love doing it. I am kind of like a man walking into a hardware store when I walk into "The Container Store"!

I recently decided to turn my love of organizing into a business that can help others feel the peace and calm of having an organized home, office and life. This enables me to work from my home (and yours) and also accomplish something that is very satisfying to me.

I have been a pediatric nurse for the last 25 years and presently work part time in a pediatric doctors office.

I now have 8 children. I was remarried in 2006. My husband has 4 children, a 14 year old son and 7 year old triplets! I have 4 boys, ages 15 - 24. My 3 oldest are out of the house. Needless to say, we have to be organized!

Some people have a very difficult time with organization and just don't seem to be wired to think in that way. Others find it to be very natural and easy. Many fall somewhere between the two. It may be that while most of your life and home are organized, you may have found that you have just been too busy to get to certain areas, or they have become a "catch all" that have just become too over whelming...and its easier to just shut the door.

I can not rewire your mind, but I can help to teach you a system to help you learn how to change your routine and thinking which will help you to keep your home and world in order. If it is simply an area that got to be too over whelming, then finally having it in order may be all you need to keep it in order. Organizing your home will then help you with your time management. When you know where things are and can find them easily then it will make getting to places much easier. If it is a home office, you can become more productive. Your time that was previously spent trying to find your desk, scissors, a pen that has ink, is now spent actually working! Becoming organized will then help you accomplish more and be on time, in turn you will be less frustrated and stressed....which will then help your family to be less frustrated and stressed!!

No job is hopeless! It may feel like it and it has probably become so big that it is completely over whelming, but it can be tackled! Working together we can sort through things that you may not even remembered that you had. We will decide what needs to be kept and put it in another pace, needs a place in that space, or can be thrown away or given to someone else who could really use it.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend the National Association of Professional Organizers National Conference in April of 2008. It was a wonderful experience. Peter Walsh was the keynote speaker and was really entertaining along with informational. He impressed even the toughest of organizers. Many of the organizers have some trouble with the organizing shows on tv because they can give an unrealistic idea of what we can do in a short period of time. What was really interesting to me was hearing the several different organizing tv personalities tell their "behind the camera" real stories about what was involved. One Mission Organizion show that takes a half hour to show took that organizer over 80 hours of work to complete. But she only had 8 minutes of actual camera time in that half hour show. There were many vendors there with new products and seminars that I had time to go to over a 3 day period. Below are some pictures from the show:
