Lot’s of Mail and Shipping? Then you might want to pay attention
This convenient gadget – The Dymo 450 Twin Turbo LabelWriter or cool twin labeler for short – can print out your postage, mailing labels, and any other labels you want to make. Like name badges or labels for storage containers.
Here is what came with it. There are also the cords that plug into the labeler. One goes from the labeler to the computer and the other one plug into power. I have to admit that I wish there was an on and off switch on the unit. I have to bend way back and down to plug it into my power strip and its a bit of a pain.
The lights turn blue and blink – the little pearly button under where the label comes out. I thought at first that was the power off switch, so I pushed it and a blank label popped out.
I loaded the CD disc into my computer and downloaded the software. It wasn’t hard. Believe me.. when it comes to anything techie..I’ll be the one to mess it up. So if I say it is easy…you can believe me.
After it is loaded.. I just double clicked (I have a Mac) on the icon on the sidebar and it came to this page. You pick which way you want to format your label by picking which one you like. Write in what you want…. here I wrote ” Organize with Sandy”. Then you hit the “Print” button in the bottom right hand corner.. and wa -la..
Simple as that. It really is simple. You can get different size labels. You can see how wide of one you can get from the size of the slot.
For the postage from what I read you have to download it …but be sure to use the Dymo postage because it is free. The other one is not. But I have not done the postage download myself..
To be honest, as cool as this is – I’m not sure how much I will use it. The main postage I use is for sending out my products. I just use the Paypal labels. It is set up… pulls the money out of my paypal account – and prints.
I don’t have to go load up my Dymo account for postage.
But if you do a lot of shipping or other things that you would use a desk labeler frequently… I think this could be great! It is a nice size – it looks really slick….it isn’t noisy and it works really cool. It cost
Labeling your Holiday Storage Bins

I worked with a client the other day who gave me some insight. She has MS and has trouble getting around. She also has oodles of Christmas decorations. I looked around at all her beautiful displays and asked if she had decorated herself (because I had a hard time picturing this much of a creativity side of her husband…no offense. LOL) She said, “No…I just direct.” I thought how frustrating that must be. To have the desire to do so many things in life and have a disability or disease that doesn’t let your body do what your mind wants to.
Then she shared with me something I have seen before, but never thought to be used in this way. She took a picture of her decorations up and displayed the way she likes them (last year or the year before I think) and posted that picture on the bin with those supplies in it. Brilliant!
Each person helping her just brings that bin up and knows exactly where and how to put the decorations.
So simple but most of us would never have thought to do so.
This is a fantastic idea for any of us to use. In the spirit of Christmas or other holiday, if you know someone who has troubles getting around themselves, help them do it this year! Take a picture close up and one a little further back (to see exactly the location) of their decorations. Help them to load just that set up or two in a bin and post the picture on the outside.
Love it! Thanks Becky!
Label Daddy Review

Label Daddy labels are great! I have been having fun finding new things to label. I have labeled the kids thermos for their lunch boxes, coats, sweatshirts, Under Armour, shoes and many other things. These are items that I really didn’t have a way other than with a sharpie to label before. (sharpies fade over time or sometimes even wash off) I do have to admit that I used the “shoe” labels on my computer bag and water bottle. They were designed to go in the sole (heel area) of your shoes. No more losing your band $60 tennis shoes for my kids!! (yes one did by the way)
These labels are dishwasher safe, microwave safe, washer and dryer safe. There are labels for clothing, shoes, large bags, outdoor trashcans, photos and more.
These labels are laminated to protect and they stick. They really really stick!!
I have sent them through the dishwasher without problems and also the washer and dryer. The only thing I noticed is that after they came through the washer and dryer it is just slightly wrinkled and not as smooth…but it is still stuck. I think it just molded a little to the fabric.
So many shirts are now going label free on their clothing lines all in the name of comfort. But when you have a system to label your children’s clothing and there is no where to put them…it is a little frustrating. But not now…Label Daddy to the rescue!! Under Armour is one example…there are no labels…but now at my house there is!!! (thank you Label Daddy)
I also have to put out a plug for the owners of Label Daddy..they are great to work with and have even sponsored a couple lucky bloggers to go to a blogging conference. You can feel good about the Daddies behind the company!
