Getting ready to go out!

I was given this Shabby Apple Dress to wear from Shabby Apple and I was thrilled.  I wore it when I went out to dinner at the Type A Mom conference.  I asked them if they had any long dresses (because my legs would not look cute in a short dress….believe me please) because there is no way I should be wearing one of their cutest ever short dresses (and  they are cute as can be!)  Ladies if you can wear short little sassy dresses…this is one online store you really do need to check out.

This dress is called Cleopatra.  I was very surprised when it came to my door in a padded envelop. I am like…what?  There is NO way that I can fit into a dress that fits into a padded envelop! But guess what…I did! This is a cotton fabric and was perfect for traveling. It folds up small and looked great once I got there.

My other concern was if it was going to be long enough for me.  I am 5’10″ tall and so many things aren’t.  They told me it would be.  They also told me that it ran a little big. I got a size medium and guess what it was long enough. I had on flats though. I could not have worn any heels.  But if you are shorter and want to wear some great heels….this would work perfect.

It also had kind of a “wispy” feel to the top of it. It is hard to tell in this picture.  But you can see it better when you see the dress on their site. You can see it here.

So this dress was great. It was comfortable and I plan to wear it again when I go to Blog World Expo 09 next week in Las Vegas. Did you notice the cool bracelet?  It is from Stella and Dot jewelry. I just love it and want to share so neat jewelry with you.

Thank you Shabby Apple.

Full Disclosure -  yes I was given this dress without charge, but was not “required” to blog on it. I did wear it and told people where I got it, not because I was told to, but because I was happy to…as I was happy to write this review.  The bracelet from Stella and Dot I purchased myself.  I mentioned it because I want to introduce you the readers to a neat company with some great jewelry.

Sponsors at Type A Mom Conference – Thank you!

I have to say there are some great Sponsors here at the Type A Mom Conference. Here is my take on many of them:
For the first time Creative Memories is at a Blogger conference. I had to gravitate towards talking to them because I used to be a Creative Memories consultant (pre-their digital scrapbooking days) and being a Professional Organizer..one of my favorite thing to organize are scrapbook/craft rooms. I can’t wait to use the software they gave us for digital scrapbooking! I also love the laptop sleeve they gave us. What a great idea!
Mabel’s Labels gave us the cutest ever dog tags. I was so bummed when I couldn’t find mine at first…but they found it.
HP was there and it was the first time that I really looked at their products. I fell in love with the post it notes and messages portion of their large touch screen computer. (Anytime you want me to review that…just give me the word!)
COZI has a family calendar and many features that I will be working with soon. I am going to be doing a review on it and I am anxious to see all it can do. It was nice to see some of it first hand.
Little Debbie is here with more of their goodies and they have a mini they are giving away. Although I was bummed they didn’t have the 100 calorie products this time, but those cupcakes were awesome. Loved the mini Little Debbie car too.
Collective Bias provided us with a great lunch and love Becca, Lucetia and John. Thanks for being there and helping us bloggers to connect with the Brands.
Weight Watchers introduced me to a new product. I love the Candy Bar ice cream…that tasted just like snickers ice cream bars. I already eat the fudge bars, but am going to be asking my Kroger to get the other ones in the store. I used it on my Weight Watchers Wednesday too.
Thank you to the Savoy restaurant and Martini Bar…we had a wonderful meal there with Amy and Shannon.
Chick-fil-A gave us a great lunch. I have to admit that I have never had Chick-fil-A before. (No honest). I loved that sandwich. So much so that we stopped at a Chick-fil-A on our way home from Ocean Isle (Hubby met me and we went after the conference). He had never had Chick-fil-A either and I told him about our lunch….he had the original one like we had at conference. I tried to be good for all the bad (good) eating I had done over the last week and got the grilled chicken sandwich.

There were plenty more sponsors and thank you all…these were just the ones that really seemed to hit me.

I am a little behind in my blogs. I traveled yesterday from Ashville NC to Charlotte NC. I am staying with my 86 year old Aunt and Uncle overnight and leaving in just a few minutes to go to the airport to pick up my husband.
We are going to be going to Ocean Isle North Carolina to stay at the Ocean Isle Inn for the next 3 days. (can’t wait)….so I am going to continue showing you slide shows..(sorry not much organizing in the last week….but I want to share with all of you)
