The 5 Most Important Indoor Plant Care Tips

0

Taking care of plants requires a lot of love and patience. Without these two essential components for taking appropriate care of a plant, it is impossible to grow it. It is a passion to continue, not a responsibility. The value of plants is immense, and it’s not like paper, which you can throw away after use. You will be their parent and doctor at the same time. If you see your plants dying, you will go to great lengths to keep them alive. That’s what true plant parenting is.

Growing With Love Together

If a plant is well taken care of, it will last longer, just like how we take good care of ourselves, and surely, it can propagate just like how you build your own family. Most of us grew up in homes that had plants inside and outside our houses, and it feels so refreshing and gives a feeling of contentment. This fact is weird, but it is true. Plants have this timeless lifespan, and it is because we keep on propagating them. This timeless lifespan of the plant was possible because of the love that you invested in it. That is why we found plants as an everlasting source of love. Having a plant is indeed a responsibility. Just like raising a child, it needs time and effort to grow.

Water

Not all houseplants have the same level of needing to be watered. It depends on what type of indoor plant it is or how it grows and undergoes some changes. It also depends on the season. The best way is to do some research on when it should be watered. Some houseplants can withstand drought and don’t require as much watering each day because doing so could result in overwatering. They had this special watering day, just like the ZZ plant care calendar. It beeps whenever it is time to water the plant.

Cleaning Time

All indoor plants will look better if they are clean. The amount of dust that leaves gather allows us to breathe clean air since they filter it. So wash them with the use of a spray bottle and be gentle, or try to brush them with a soft brush to remove the dust that is in the leaves. You should be extra cautious when dusting your indoor plants; if their leaves are soft, you can use soft towels to do so. It will help your plant look better, and at the same time, it will be clean. Include in the cleaning time the trimming of the flowers or removing the dead leaves and diseased leaves so that they can’t infect the other healthy leaves of your plants. In this way, it encourages the plant to bloom and grow healthier. In this way, you can surely say I did a great job of maintaining the good health of my plant.

Propagation

It is the time when you may see your favorite plant’s eternal life in action. It will help the indoor plant restore an overgrown plant and allow fresh growth. You multiply them for whatever reason, but don’t propagate if you don’t have to.

Repotting

Not sure if your indoor plant needs repotting? According to research, you can try to check the root systems. When the plant is ready for a new pot, the roots should spiral around the interior of the existing one. If the plant keeps on growing and looks bigger than its pot, you can transfer it to a larger container so that it can have more space to grow. Although, if you like to keep its size, then you can trim some of the roots and replant them. You can put them in an empty container and add some fresh potting soil.

Wrapping Up

Plants also have life, just like human beings. They are also created just like we are. Keep and love them because they don’t have enough strength to take good care of themselves, but all they can give is the company that no one else can give you. Plants have their way of how to comfort us, so take care of them, just like a human or a child.
